There is no charge for the public to search records in our office, which is located at 200 S. Spruce, Grand Junction, CO 81501.
How to Record a document?
If you have the appropriate filing fees (please refer to Recording Fees Chart) to Record you have three avenues to record a document. Bring the document and the funds to office at 200 S. Spruce, mail the documents to us via United Postal Service or FedEx/UPS or a similar delivery service or submit documents electronically through an authorized electronic recording vendor. A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is our electronic recording agreement for all electronic recording submissions. This document is updated periodically. Changes may be based on legislative changes, policy or changes in technology.
Please be advised that if you choose to submit documents via electronic recording (eRecord) or mail, we do not guarantee the timing of the recording. These documents are worked periodically through the day. All documents received on or before 1:00 p.m. will be processed by 5:00 p.m. that business day. Documents received after 1:00 p.m. will be processed by 5:00 p.m. the following business day.
